This is a fee‑for‑service, independent contractor position, supported by a well‑established administrative team so clinicians can focus on clinical care rather than paperwork.

Position Overview

  • Role: Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Independent Contractor)

  • Service Delivery: Virtual, hybrid, and/or in‑person options available

  • Insurance Model: In‑network services with one or two insurance panels

  • Licensure:

  • Maryland‑licensed psychologists

  • PSYPACT‑authorized psychologists licensed in other states

Potomac Therapy Group manages the administrative aspects of practice, including:

  • Insurance credentialing

  • Insurance preauthorizations

  • Insurance claim submission and follow‑up

This structure is designed to reduce administrative burden and support sustainable clinical work within an insurance‑based model.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking licensed psychologists who value thoughtful, ethical, evidence‑based care and are open to working within an in‑network insurance model. Ideal candidates will have experience in at least two of the following areas:

  • Individual therapy

  • Couples therapy

  • Family therapy

  • Child and adolescent therapy

  • Parent coaching

Qualifications

  • Licensed psychologist in Maryland or licensed in a PSYPACT state with current PSYPACT authorization

  • Willingness to become credentialed with one or two insurance companies (Potomac Therapy Group facilitates the process)

  • Availability for after‑school or evening sessions is a plus

  • Private practice experience preferred, but not required

What You’ll Do

As a clinician with Potomac Therapy Group, you will:

  • Provide evidence‑based psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and/or children

  • Develop treatment plans and monitor client progress

  • Collaborate with other clinicians and healthcare professionals as appropriate

  • Maintain timely, accurate, HIPAA‑compliant documentation

  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development
