Dr. Sarah Weisberg
Dr. Sarah Weisberg, Psy.D. (she/her/hers) is the owner, founder, and director of Potomac Therapy Group. She was inspired to create a private psychotherapy practice to provide highly specialized, compassionate, and person-centered care. Dr. Weisberg is deeply committed to helping individuals strengthen their mental and emotional well-being in order to cultivate greater satisfaction, joy, and fulfillment in life.
Dr. Weisberg specializes in women’s psychology, working primarily with women and adolescent girls on confidence and assertiveness building, burnout prevention, and navigating major life transitions. She also provides therapy for couples and families. Her clinical focus includes supporting clients through relationship changes, career shifts, boundary setting, and the exploration of core values and personal identity. Drawing from psychodynamic and supportive psychotherapy approaches, Dr. Weisberg helps clients foster authenticity, meaning, and connection in their lives.
Dr. Weisberg earned her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) from The George Washington University, her Master’s degree in psychology from American University, and her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. She has been a licensed psychologist in private practice since 2013, serving clients in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C., and is also authorized to provide telepsychology services to clients in PSYPACTparticipating states.
